Can you recover deleted files?
My friends computer is a dell laptop running xp I believe, her ex b/f got mad and deleted pictureson her computer and then from the recycle bin and it really would mean the world for her to get them back. Is there anyway this can be done?

download a program called Recuva, use the computer as little as possible to avoid over-writng the deleted files. She should be able to recover most of them if they were recently deleted.

Yes, but it is not a sure thing. There are several programs you can buy or there are also a few free ones. Personally I like http://www.piriform.com/recuva.

You might try this free undelete from here http://www.officerecovery.com/
It’s a free download, but I would download from your machine and place it on a usb drive and run the program from there. The less she uses her machine the more you will be able to recover from it. If you go adding a bunch of stuff or moving files around on her machine it will wipe out what you are trying to undelete.
