Marijuana? Can someone give me a reason why its bad?
1 MARIJUANA DOES NOT MAKE YOU STUPID. If it did then why has there been so many successful people in the world that have inhaled. There studies that show that it actually stimulates brain activity.
2 IT DOES NOT KILL BRAIN CELLS. the test that showed that was done by placing gas masks over monkeys and then pumping sixty grams of weed in five minutes WITHOUT additional oxygen. The monkeys suffocated which caused brain cell loss.
3 IT DOES NOT GIVE YOU CANCER. There is not one case of anyone getting cancer from smoking marijuana alone. You can’t find one. Cigarettes however kill many many people
studies show THC attacking malignant tumors. A cure for cancer?
4 IT HAS NEVER KILLED ANYONE. EVER. Caffeine kills more people a year
5 It is THE number one cash crop. HEMP has more uses then any other industrial plant and America is the only country not growing it.
6 NNO VIOLENT CASES. EVER. The only violent cases you here are because its illegal. Drug wars in Mexico would stop in there tracks if we legalize it. Most of there funding comes from marijuana and the US is their best costumer.
7. THIRTEEN states have legalized it for medical purposes.
8 IT HAS NO ADDICTIVE QUALITIES. The reason why there are so many people are in rehab for it is because when your caught you can either go to jail or go to rehab. 15% of people in rehab for marijuana are there because they want to be. Most people in rehab are first time offenders
9 ALCOHOL is much worse in every way. Case after case you hear people dying because of alcohol or related to alcohol. drunk drivers. Not to mention that during alcohols prohibition gave birth to organized crime.
10 THE GATEWAY THEORY doesn’t make sense. Its scientifically impossible. Only one 1 of every 140 weed smokers also do cocaine.
11 If it were legalized it would be WAY HARDER FOR KIDS to get it because they would have to go through a regulated system. The store owner would lose his license. A drug dealer only cares about the money.
Any good reason why its still illegal??

I realize that people will abuse it. However there are fat people abusing cheeseburgers. We can’t nerf the world. And alcoholics.
Its also proven that no one does anything violent while high on marijuana. If there was one they would parade the story through the media. When was the last time you saw a story that a man high on marijuana beat his wife and kids? Or ever?
I would also like to add that the government can tax it. They would tax it cigs and liquor

where are you getting these statistics? And why do you think its cool to beat people up? 800 000 people a year are being sent to prison for minor possession. The US is spending billions to through people like me in jail. Considering what the FACTS say about marijuana, its a giant waist of money. Not to mention its not doing anything to stop the amount of people lighting up.
Also have you noticed your part of the minority when it comes to this subject? And you still haven’t told me how old you are.

I’ve smoked weed for over 18 years. I do a mentally and physically challenging job, and make a 6 figure salary. So that kind of blows the crap out of all their theories. I’ve met lawyers, doctors, cops, accountants, and McDonalds burger flippers that smoke the weed. Weed doesn’t make you stupid. Stupid makes you stupid. As for the weed, it may amplify someone’s stupidity, but not nearly as much as booze does. The US war on weed is a waste of resources and money. I’ve never started or wanted to have a punch up on weed (other than to defend myself from some drunken spastic), but turn into a raging bull on alcohol. Hence I limit myself to occasional beer now and again, but smoke a bat everyday. I used to tell my crew, I would rather they smoke a fatty in the evening, than go to the bar and drink 10 beers, at least then I would know thery would show up for work the next day.
Putting people in jail for smoking something natural that grows in the earth, that has been proven not addictive, non-harming with no real side effects. But we’ll spend 100’s of millions of dollars to give an 80 year old guy a hard on, and flog "pharmacutical" drugs with a list of 20 harmful side effects on TV and internet.
I guess that just goes to show who’s really pulling the strings.

It’s illegal because too many people believe the myths. In fact, weed is legal in my home city, Denver, Colorado. Although we have a limit of how much weed we can carry, it’s enough to fulfill its task. If people realized weed is currently used to cure diseases such as glaucoma, they’d know it isn’t ‘bad’ because, if so, it wouldn’t be a prescription drug. Weed also has less side-effects than pain killers. By the way, the weed itself doesn’t cause laziness and/or stupidity; the smokers were already lazy and stupid upon smoking. Also, weed can be consumed by vaporizing and eating in means other than smoking.

You’re right the only reason the government makes it illegal because it’s a plant and anyone could grow it and not have to pay for it aka no taxes which they wouldn’t like. Everything is about money…
